In sport we have to take in a range of different performers, who come from various different backgrounds cultures and beliefs, each of these has its own demands and regulations for participation in sport and so it is the job of different organisations and sporting parties to overcome this, finding ways to include and allow everyone to participate in sport

The BTEC Sport course has been designed to provide an engaging, broad and stimulating introduction to the world of Sport and Fitness. Students will study the BTEC Level 2 First Award in Sport which is equivalent to a GCSE but has the benefit of a larger coursework and practical content.

BTECs do now have an exam but it is not too onerous. It is similar in that there is theory and practical- but the folder and the exam are the only means of assessment whereas in GCSE you are assessed on 4 sports.
