Read the excerpt from "Let Bindi Have the Limelight." Weeks shy of ten, Bindi Irwin was presented with the
coveted golden statue for Outstanding Performer in a
Children's Series. She expressed amazement at having
won out over her experienced competitors and
gratitude for Bindi the Jungle Girl's staggering U. S.
success over such a short time period. What she was
most grateful for, though, was the life she got to live
every day. "I am the luckiest kid in the world!" she told
the media. "I live in a zoo and I get to teach other kids
about animals in a fun way -- what more could you
want?"
Why does the author most likely include this
information in the article?
to show how competitive Bindi feels about
protecting threatened animals
to show how honored Bindi feels to be spreading a
positive message
to show how grateful Bindi feels that her
conservation work is so easy
to show how determined Bindi is to make her
television show a success
