The use of examples and illustrations relate on a level due to providing information to the reader, or to anybody. Having examples means you are able to better understand a passage, or an example being made. Using illustrations not only provides that, but also gives an opening mind picture of what the writer is trying to project to you.

You would use an example after an explanation within' a story, or trying to get your point across.

You would you an illustration in the midst of someone reading your passage so they can connect the pieces!

Example of an "example": You're supposed to ask people for help if you need it, for example: "Hi, may I have some help please?" Asking means a lot!

Example of an illustration: The golden sunlight inflicting through the trees, shadowed over Harry's eyes. shows illustration on the bottom.
