Rate my story Chapter One: Earth Blossoms

I slunk down the moonlit path, holding the cold, singular apple seed in my hand. I had the plan to plant this lonely seed and grow a beautiful relationship with it as time went forth. Walking forward, I found a crevice in the ground with a stream of water beside it. The perfect place for this apple seed.

I spread apart the earth with my hands and packed the lonely seed within mother nature's embrace as I closed the gap. That would be the last time I saw her for a while.

I was Oliver, 17 years old.

Chapter Two: Yellow Clouds

5 years had passed since the time I planted Blossom. I haven't seen her since then because I moved to Fayetteville. But... here she is. Before me once again with her lime leaves and yellow beauties. Oddly... they look exactly like bananas. The time had come to take a banana from Blossom. The Mayor would be here soon with his construction workers (who were building a motel) eager to rip me away from my one true love.

"Madamoiselle... I truly am sorry, m'love." I say as I reach forward to gingerly take a banana, so a part of Blossom would be with me.

Chapter Three: Orange Dreams

The banana... had... become an orange, oddly enough. But that's no matter, for now is the time. I had waited too long. I spent 5 days gazing and staring at what seemed to be a banana but ended up being an orange. Any longer and the last piece of Blossom I had would wither away entirely. I reach forward. No... I simply could not do it. The temptations to eat her were too strong. Be strong, Oliver.

Chapter Four: Crimson Petals

I was shaking... this was the day. I reached forward, grabbing Blossom. I reach in and rip out her citrus heart and throw the rest across the room. Putting her heart to my mouth, I take a big bite, eager to taste the citrus melody along my tongue.

I did not realize what I had done...

Chapter Five: Dismayed Serepia

"Blossom! Forgive me, my love!" I cry to the sky. I had killed my one true love, and for what? A bite of orange? Blossom would never come back. The one part I had of her... destroyed. The park was already converted into a motel. My life was ruined forever. I lay down and weep. Things would never be the same.
