Widely considered the greatest scientist of the twentieth century, Albert Ein- stein (1879–1955) is responsible for the theory of relativity. He won the
Nobel Prize in Physics in 1921. In 1936, he wrote the following letter to a
sixth-grade student, Phyllis Wright, in response to her question as to whether
