The calendar had said "Mother and Son Dinner all week, but somehow A had forgotten about their plans when Friday morning come around. At breakfast, he asked his mom if he could go to his friend's house after school. Judging by the look on his mom's face he thought she would say no, but she said that it was fine and not to be late. He had no idea what she meant by not being late but he was so elated that she said yes that he just ignored it. The school day seemed to go by slowly, but finally the bell rang to herald the end of the day. Axel was invited to stay for dinner as soon as he got to his friend's house. He immediately said yes knowing that his mom wouldn't mind.
