For the last two years, Kelly has wanted a dog that she could call her own. But her mom didn't think she was quite ready to care for a dog all
by herself. So, on her tenth birthday, Kelly was thrilled when her mom surprised her with a puppy
Kelly was determined to take good care of him. She fed him and gave him fresh water. She took him for walls and brushed his fur. Even
when she tired of doing those jobs, she did them anyway because he was her pet. After a month, Kelly's mom told her she was doing a great job
Kelly was so proud of herself!
