For example, the suspense in the film was brought up with music when the dark, unknown “monster” came toward the people of Maple Street. This makes the audience want to get up at the edge of their chair and get the chills since they don’t know who the mysterious, suspicious person is. Without this huge, anticipation moment, the audience wouldn’t be interested. Instead, they would want to wait for the big reveal.
