Ok so im writing a story where this guy named Zeriah just turned 14 and is about to start highschool having to make sure no one finds out about his blue eyes wears glasses to cover them up eventually makes a few friends one of the being lavanda ( she's important later ) after each day zariah goes home and documents each day in his journal ( whenever zariah adds personality to something he brings back its color) im stuck on what he should do should he

run away with lavanda and start a life outside the city and let the citty be the same never getting to have colour again or

B
turn himself in and risk being killed to convince the people to bring colour back and live in the city

Oh, neat idea :O So, the city wants everyone to be the same as a way to "solve" the problem with equality? Is this in a post-apocalyptic world,? (Note that apocalyptic doesn't necessarily mean a ruined or destroyed world, it usually means a society that has been through massive events that changed the world drastically). So, since this is a story where everyone looks the same, making unique characters will be difficult. Instead of ruining the setting by making one character way different from the others, like the girl he's with, make the girl feel bland but reformed by the boy. Like, she has the same personality and appearance as everyone else, but the boy teaches her how that's bad. And, when he does, instead of changing her personality instantly, make it a slow transition. Like, she slowly begins to develop a unique personality through the story, and in the end, she's like a different person. Who was his father? Was his father regular but different, or maybe even part of a rebellion that wanted to change society? And, maybe you could have the boy think his dad was normal, and slowly discovers that his dad was actually fighting for freedom. It seems like such a unique story idea and I wanna see how it turns out :OO

in the story, mr. eckels, who is a hunter, hires a time travel company to travel to the age of dinosaurs. although he is excited for the hunting expedition at the beginning, when they reach there and mr. eckels sees the tyrannosaurus, he feels frightened. as he is afraid of the tyrannosaurus, he steps off the path although he has been warned not to do it. by stepping off the path, the entire course of the future is affected: mr. eckart alters the future by stepping on a butterfly, which causes a new man to be elected president in the future. in that way, it is mr. eckart's fearfulness what triggers 'the butterfly effect' and what leads to drastic consequences for the rest of the world.
