I'd quote it for you, but I use an odd Bible which I like very much but the wording can be quite different. It might not be as poetic as the King James either and the Beatitudes are really quite beautiful, and you shouldn't miss the poetry.

i would say c, admiration because the narrator related to the main character and she, too, once felt ashamed about her culture and wished to be an american girl to impress a boy. she felt admiration because her mom prepared her favorite foods when her and robert's (the guy she liked) family all came together and had a family reunion.

c is the answer because first she would blush to make the reader wonder why which they find out in the next line.
