1. Highlight clues in the passage (narration or dialogue) that foreshadow events in the passage. My dad and I go on an annual fishing trip each summer. We love to fish for Red Snapper in Orange Beach. There's something so magical about the combination of sandy
white beaches and freshly caught fish. Usually, it takes us days to prepare. We have to
gather everything from sunscreen and insect repellent to tackle boxes and rods. My dad is
a bit of an over-packer, but this year, we rushed around to get everything ready.
"Do we have everything?" my dad asked as we pulled out of the driveway. "It feels
like we're forgetting something."
"I think we have it all, Dad," I replied, glancing back at the backseat that seemed to
be overflowing with supplies. "Usually, we have too much stuff," I smiled.
About an hour into our drive, dark clouds began to form overhead. It wasn't long
before the rain was hitting our windshield like bullets. Dad did his best to navigate in the
storm, but he looked a bit worried. "I really hope we remembered our raingear."
