since a simile compares two unlike things using like or as, it kind of gives an item the ability to do something it can't.

example: "the player was like a tiger on the field"

in this sentence, the simile conveys the idea that the player was fast and strong, like a tiger.

"it's more of an essay than story, but perhaps it is best described as a mood-piece: it uses a lot of musical imagery, not to mention sea imagery, religious imagery, and any other imagery that suits his purpose."

the teacher i would like to have must be a kind, caring and understandable teacher. she should be interactive with us and always plan fun activities to in our studies. she should be a teacher who would correct our mistakes when we do something wrong and guide us if we are weak. she should always be strict if we do something bad but must be praising us when we do something good. she she not take any as her favorite in her class but take everyone as her favorite.
