Candace says . . . It all started when I noticed Nick copying answers from someone else's test. I sit in the back of history class, but I could definitely see him at the front of the row staring over at his neighbor's desk. Everyone knows that Nick struggles with history and really needs a good grade on this test to pass the class. Plus, it makes sense that he would have to cheat. He worked every night that week at the Burger Palace until closing! How could he possibly have had time to study? I'm just telling the truth because I know it's the right thing to do. Nick is just mad at me because he got caught. He should be mad at himself instead for doing something so stupid. Everything always seems to go Nick's way, but not this time.
Boy Nick says. . .
I really needed to get an A on this test to pass history. Unfortunately, I had to work every night leading up to the big test. I didn't cheat though. Instead, I spent every day in study hall reviewing for the test. I even came in early two days to ask the teacher for help on the study guide. When I overslept the day of the test, I thought I had blown it. My normal seat at the front of the room was taken by the time I got to class, but I managed to finish the whole test just in the nick of time. I don't know why Candace is lying about me cheating. She's had it out for me ever since third grade when I beat her in the spelling bee. I'm telling the truth. I don't know why she says she saw me cheat...she wasn't even wearing her glasses Tuesday.
