1. In Mark Twain's "The Notorious Jumping Frog of Calaveras County" there are good examples of regionalist fiction. Regionalism represents a geographic region's distinct language, customs, traditions, and manners. Write a paragraph below and explain how this story demonstrates ONE of the above elements of regionalism. Your paragraph should have THREE parts: 1) the explanation of the element you’ve identified (such as distinct language, etc.), 2) your description of how it was used to demonstrate regionalism in that story, and 3) the quote you chose to demonstrate it.
