Read the post from the blog Summer Job Adventures. Today was a disaster. During the lunch shift, I only had three tables. Three tables! That’s nothing for a pro like me. First, I tripped and dropped a tray of six water glasses and a pitcher of iced tea, making the path from the kitchen to the dining room treacherous for all the other servers. Even after we cleaned it up, it was sticky. So, of course I slipped as I was delivering Table 2 their burgers, and they were furious. The chef rushed to prepare them again, and as I was placing the plates onto the table, I spilled ketchup all over one of my customers. I can’t believe I made it through the day with my job. I can’t wait until school starts again!
