The Camel Corp is an important part of the history of the American military. The cost to bring camels to the US was not worth the amount of work it took to train them. If not for the Civil War, camels would still be used by the military today. Question 2 How is the viewpoint in Part A conveyed in the text? He lists the many advantages to using camels in the desert and blames the war for the failure of the project. He states that life for camels was more harsh in the US than in their homeland, so they lashed out at their handlers. He describes how difficult it was to bring camels to the US and their inability to do the same work as horses. He lists the many accomplishments of the Camel Corp compared to regular army missions.
