This comparison shows that:

The poem "The Rainy Day" is written in three stanzas and this is completely different from the poem "Invictus" which contains four stanzas.The poem "Invictus" has as its theme resilience, showing a strong speaker, fearless and ready to face life's problems.The poem "The Rainy Day," on the other hand, has as its theme melancholy amidst the difficulties of life, as the narrator compares himself to a sad, dismal day and is very tired about how he is living.

Thus, we can say that the speakers in the two poems are the opposite of each other, as one is defeated by life, while the other is ready to defeat any difficulty.
