what does the phrase ''In order to enter the unknown, you must be willing to exit that which is known'' mean

Basically, it means you must be willing to go beyond what your comfortable with. If you stick to what you know and what your comfortable doing you'll never try new things in what is unknown to you. For example, if your a person that's generally wants to stay safe then you probably don't want to go skydiving, something you've never done (the "unknown" to you). But you have  go out of what your comfortable with or what's known to you, because skydiving could possibly be really fun, once you try it. Hope this helps :)
