If teaching altogether did not exist, then we would be lost. Civilization has progressed thanks to centuries of accumulated knowledge, we humans as we are growing up require extensive teaching and care. Species collapse in as much no one learns to even eat.Teaching is very profitable and can be done in bulk at little extra cost. There’s also savings in standardization and having homogeneous class material. What’s more, your own graduates can become your workforce. The mechanism feeds itself. You can even be evil and give loans on the promise that they will get a job after they finish classes. You can be even more evil and plot with a publisher to rake up the prices of the course material year by year, You’re loaning them the money to buy your own overpriced books it doesn’t matter if yesterday’s reading material or internet sources are good enough, you won’t allow anyone to use that. If any rival schools try to compete on price, you teach them the great benefits of being an oligopoly and how can that increase your revenue per employee. Cartelization will work wonders.
