- fear of debt (a sociological term) many students fear the costs of university and rather feel alienated because of their class to go university

some students may not want uni to be a universal right because

many students attend university for a number of reasons, some could include:

- a way out (an escape) from the hierarchy they are placed in i.e working class students may want to achieve a degree to challenge their classist stereotype.

- to gain new skills, a new experience

- earn money

- expanding career field

- pursuing their dreams
