Read this passage: Aaron took the long way, by the basketball court, on his way to the grocery store. The usual people from the neighborhood were there playing ball. Part of him wanted to simply forget what they'd said yesterday and join the next game. He realized he was wanted, needed even, for his basketball skills and as their friend. However, their words still rang harshly in his ears. Seeing them play, he realized he needed more time. He still had feelings to sort out, and besides that, he still needed those groceries.

Why does Aaron walk by the basketball court?
