In the story Tornado Watch : How does Sydney’s character develop over the course of this story? :Sydney is selfish and self-centered. Once the tornado warning sounds, however, she is able to put her ego aside and focus on protecting and helping her younger sister, Sophie :Sydney misses their old back door that would stick, but once she sees the storm roll in, she realizes that this was silly and that this new home is just as important to her and her family: Sydney is concerned about losing her home and her possessions to another tornado, but she realizes that the only things that truly matter are already with her in the shelter:Sydney believes that another tornado won't strike her home. However, when she sees the weather forecast, she realizes that there are no guarantees in life.
