Merits and demerits of online class

Just like many other things, online lessons have their merits and demerits.

Some of the merits are:

Reduced costs - for example, as you can attend an online class from home, you don't need to spend money on travel.Increased convenience and flexibility - it's easier to simply turn on the computer and attend a lesson than travel all the way to e.g university. Also, if the lessons are recorded, you can watch them anytime, instead of having to physically attend lessons at a fixed schedule.They teach self-discipline - how much you're going to learn depends more on you when it comes to online lessons. You could skip a lesson without consequences, but it really doesn't pay off in the long run.

Some of the demerits are:

Lack of social interaction - face-to-face interaction is very important, especially when it comes to children.They are not suitable for every topic - for example, a medicine student needs to go to the hospital and watch surgeons perform different procedures. Simply talking about something doesn't mean that you are going to learn it as well as by watching.Not everyone has the necessary technology - someone may not have access to a good internet connection, which is why they may not be able to attend the class.They make it easier to procrastinate - if you lack self-discipline, you will probably decide to just deal with the lessons later, which may turn into skipping them altogether.
