Emily Dickinson can relate to many students today because she, like many middle and high school students, was very confused and depressed.about who she was. She was extremely emotional and had very broad opinions. She was able to express those opinions through an art (that being poetry) like many middle and high school students do also rather it be music, literature, dance, or even drawing.
