On this passage With only a minute left in the game, I had the ball and ran
down the field, scanning for defenders and listening for
their footsteps on the grass. Then I passed the last
defender and, when I saw a good chance, I kicked the ball
past the goalie, thus winning the game. I couldn't believe
that I had, as that had never happened before, and my
excitement eclipsed all that I had even known before.
