i found out Armstrong is the murderer, it is actually Wargrave's footstep, Wargrave having faked his death earlier. Wargrave kills Armstrong and Blore, and when Claythorne and Lombard find Armstrong's body, they immediately suspect each other, and Claythorne grabs the revolver and shoots Lombard.
