What three important biblical lessons about leadership would a king learn from reading Beowulf?

In the poem Beowulf, we learn of a fearsome creature named Grendel who terrorized the people of Hrothgar and who had very negative traits. However, Beowulf volunteered himself to go and conquer Grendel even though his connection with the people of Hrothgar was a very distant one.  A king can learn;

1. Selflessness from Beowulf. He was willing even to sacrifice his life for this people who were under siege by a fearsome creature. Kings should imbibe the quality of selflessness as this would  help them to make sacrifices for their people
