Tonya decided that she would finally face her fears today. No day is better than another, she told herself as she examined herself in the dressing mirror. Certainly not! She was going to look her best today—the black top with red borders and the boot-cut jeans would boost her confidence. Today, she would wear the red sandals and walk with her head held high. The mirror reflected a tall, athletic, and glowing young woman—ready to conquer the universe. Tonya thought hard about the words she was going to say to Aish when she heard her call out her name. "Tooony! Are you ready yet?" Aish and her famous, loud voice had woken up the neighborhood for the morning. "Geez Louise! Could you hurry up, plase?" "Coming!" Tonya replied and appeared downstairs with her backpack in a matter of moments. She gave Aish a long, hard look. She thought that even in plain, short, overalls and ponytails, petite Aish looked stunning. "Okay, let's go," Tonya uttered, looking flustered. "Black is definitely not your color, doll!" Aish said, chewing gum loudly. "Ugh, those red sandals! What were you thinking? Sam will definitely run away after seeing you!" "Aish, do you think that maybe you could be a little less critical with your remarks?" Tonya finally said what had been on her mind for a long time. "I value your opinion and don’t appreciate you always putting me down." Which of these terms best describes Aish? A. the heroic protagonist B. a round character C. a static character D. Tonya's character foil E. the suppressed heroine
