The best way to be a successful student is to focus. Really pay attention to what the teacher/ pupil is saying. I would also advise you to take detailed notes! Especially on things your not quite understanding. Taking notes is not writing down ever word but writing bullet points of what you heard or what you think is important. Another thing that will make you a successful student is to ASK QUESTIONS many students go through their day confused by what a teacher/ pupil said. Don't be afraid to raise your hand and ask for a more detailed explanation. Or tell them why you don't understand. The last thing I would advise you is to be respectful.
