For two weeks Abu Dhabi City has been suffering a strong impact in relation to the high intensity rains that have been falling in the region.

The unexpected volume of water caused flooding and physical damage to homes, facilities, schools and government buildings. In addition, many citizens have experienced economic losses due to the floods and many have even lost their belongings.

The city now seeks to reduce the problems caused by rain, starting with cleaning all the affected places, thus decreasing the chance of proliferation of diseases that can affect, even more the citizens and cause more harm. However, the government will have a great way to go in reforming the affected buildings and compensating for the loss of city residents.

The heavy rains occurred as a result of a cold fent that approached from the south side of the city, bringing charged clouds that provided a high intensity precipitation.

Although the worst is over, it is possible to see the concern on the residents' faces, that similar problems may occur.
