A new movement is spreading. It is made up of people who want to change how we eat. Their goal is to stop our "fast life" and to bring pleasure back into the way we eat.
People in this Slow Food movement say we are too busy. We rush from home to work or
school and back. We have no time to enjoy one of life's great pleasures - food. As a result,
we often turn to fast food for meals.
Slow Food started in Italy in 1986. A group of people there had noticed a problem. Fast food
places were taking over cities. The food was cheap, but there was a cost. Foods and shops
that had been around for hundreds of years were dying. Slow Food folks wanted to stop the
spread of fast food and support the area's food history.
Today the movement is supported by farms, books, and chefs around the world. But the
point is not just about food. It's about the value of slowing down. No one should have to
gulp down a quick meal in a car. People should take time to find pleasure in what they eat
and enjoy their time on earth.

ÂżWhich of these problems led to the start of the slow food movement?
A-fast food meals were too cheap
B-people were becoming busier
C-fast food places were taking over cities
D-people were eating in their cars
