Similarly, review your textbook, and don't be assuming that you know the material after one reading. To remember what you read, you must read actively and in a passive way. When you read actively, you underline, make notes in the margin, and are asking questions. Also, after every section, stopping and to state the main idea in your words is a good idea. Finally, when you do well, reward yourself, maybe by seeing a movie or to go out to breakfast.
