Compare and contrast historical communication with modern communication

Historical communications and modern communications are similar because they both involve getting important information from point A to point B. They are different because many historical communication methods involved traveling long distances by horseback, or by foot. Modern communication methods do not always require people to travel. We can communicate using Email and instant messaging, which does not require us to travel.
