Describe the connection between the history of the bicycle and the history of women at the end of the 1800s.

The development of the bicycle led to more freedom for women. Women needed different clothing to bike and were outside of the home more. People noticed these changes, which were going on at the same time as the women’s rights movement. This led to changes in laws related to women’s rights and a shift in the way women were viewed in society.
