PLEASE HURRY!! (WILL GET BRAINLEST!)
Excerpt from Vince's First Job
Nicole Frail

1 Scene One
2 Outside Manny's Family Market, VINCENT and his friends, STEPHANIE and MELINDA, cross the bustling parking lot and approach the large, automatic doors. VINCENT enters the lobby and STEPHANIE and MELINDA follow. VINCENT stops before a large bulletin board filled with an array of advertisements.

3 VINCENT: (VINCENT points to an advertisement for Manny's Family Market.) The market is hiring cashiers and stockroom attendants. I'm in desperate need of summer employment, and the position of cashier seems perfect for me.

4 STEPHANIE: You would probably be fond of it, Vincent. After all, you've always enjoyed starting conversations and helping people.

5 VINCENT: That confirms it; I'm requesting an application so I can start working immediately.

6 STEPHANIE and MELINDA patiently wait at the store's entrance as VINCENT enters the market to request an application.

7 Scene Two
8 Outside Manny's Family Market, VINCENT crosses the parking lot wearing a navy smock, khaki pants, work boots, and a nametag. He examines the hectic lot, inhales deeply, and enters the store. He approaches ALEXANDRA, the cashier managing the front desk.

9 VINCENT: (VINCENT bites his lip nervously.) Hi, I'm here to begin my employee training. My name is Vincent.

10 ALEXANDRA: (Laughing) Your nametag gave you away. Wait here and I'll notify our manager, Brandon, that you've arrived for your shift.

11 BRANDON enters and warmly shakes VINCENT's hand. He thanks ALEXANDRA for retrieving him from the office and ushers VINCENT away from the rattling shopping carts and talking customers.

12 BRANDON: Welcome aboard the Manny's team, Vincent. Do you have any prior work experience?

13 VINCENT: Actually, Brandon, this is my first job; however, I'm anxious to get started! I think I'll make a strong addition to your staff.

14 BRANDON: (Nods) Excellent! Follow me, and I'll help you get acclimated to Manny's.

15 VINCENT follows BRANDON to an unoccupied cash register. BRANDON illuminates the light overhead to indicate that customers can use his register. Soon, an elderly woman with an overflowing grocery cart enters the aisle and unloads her groceries.

16 BRANDON: Pay close attention to what I do, Vincent, and after I check out a few customers, you can try it yourself—under my supervision, of course. Once you familiarize yourself with the cash register, you'll feel confident in your abilities to quickly and correctly ring up your customers.

17 VINCENT: (VINCENT nods in agreement.) Would you like me to bag the groceries while you work the register?

18 BRANDON: (BRANDON smiles, impressed by VINCENT's ambition.) Certainly, but be sure to watch me closely. Also, when you bag the groceries, pack boxes with other boxes, separate the canned goods, and avoid placing the bread at the bottom of the bag. And remember—always greet the customer with a friendly smile.

What inference can be made based on the stage directions shown at the beginning of Scene 2?

A) Vincent most likely got lost and is about to ask for directions.
B) Vincent most likely got hired and is nervous to start his new job.
C) Vincent might be shopping on his own for the first time at Manny's.
D) Vincent probably borrowed a uniform to apply for the job at Manny's
