"Shoot all the bluejays you want, if you can hit 'em, but remember it's a sin to kill a mockingbird." I think this is the most important quote in the entire novel. He warns Jem and Scout not to kill Mockingbirds because they bring joy and happiness to others and they don’t harm anyone. This quote shows that the world is corrupt and it destroys innocence. It shows that good things in this world are taken for granted. It also points out how good people are oppressed. Innocent things are corrupted.
