Reading a book

Reading a book is exciting and refreshing. Reading a book allows you to escape reality and dive into a world of the unknown. As you get farther into the story you start to feel compassionate towards the characters and really get involved. Making you feel as if you are there and are apart of the story.

Reading a book is exciting and reviving! Reading a book allows you to escape the real life and dive into a fantasy world. As you get farther into the story, you start to feel sympathetic towards the characters and gets you really into the story. If the story is really good, then you won't even move until you're done reading the book. Sometimes, you feel like you are there in the fantasy world.

dramatic irony occurs when the reader/audience knows more about a character's situation than the character does. the one main effect is that it gives the reader a sense of superiority, or detached superiority. the reader not only seemingly discovers what is revealed, but feels superior for doing so.

as for symbolic actions, the narrator's tearing down the wallpaper in an attempt to find the "woman" in the wallpaper represents her struggle to retain or regain her sanity.   the wallpaper has been part of her confinement and by her tearing it down, she is freeing herself from that confinement.
