As she tried to get into working mode, she drank a cup of freshly brewed Starbucks coffee, with some cream. She opened up her overflowing school email first, checking to see if she had any messages from the principal. She soon realized that she had forgotten to send her lesson-planning spreadsheet to Dr. Mohamud. She acted quickly, sending an apology message to the principal. Her next little task for the day was to write a two-page letter to parents regarding parent-teacher conferences. Her typing fingers tipped and tapped at the keys for about twenty minutes, when she finally realized she was hungry for some breakfast. She made a towering stack of pancakes and drizzled them with Aunt Jemima maple syrup.
