Stage Fright
Rami kept to himself at his new school. He was shy and avoided his
classmates. At lunch, he took a seat by himself at the end of a table in
the back of the cafeteria. So when Ms. Hughes asked him if he wanted a
part in the school play, Rami nearly fell over in surprise. He had gotten
used to feeling invisible. In fact, he almost believed that he was invisible.
Rami felt his face turn hot when he stammered his reply. “N-no
thanks," he told Ms. Hughes. “I don't know how to act."
"Well, you'll just have to learn," smiled Ms. Hughes, handing him a
copy of the script.
