I do not believe we should have to leave out the crucial elements of our language and culture to contribute to American literature, but, unfortunately, this is a conclusion I am forced to reach. I have been writing for a quarter century, and have been a published author for eighteen years. As a writer, I was part of the Chicano Movement which created a new literature in this country.

Autopia is a perfect place which is impossible - there is no way that such a place could possibly exist.sir thomas more once wrote his utopia where he portrayed a seemingly perfect society where there was no crime, no pain, no suffering, famine, lack of any resources. however, it turned out that these people lived in a dictatorship and didn't know that their lives were actually bad. my vision of a utopia would include a similar thing - no hate, wars, pain and suffering, a place where everyone would be happy and satisfied. however, unfortunately, that is impossible.
