There are two systems of measurement: the international or metric system and the English system. As its name says, the international system is more international, while English is used in England and those countries that were, at one time, part of the British empire, although most are shifting to the use of the metric system. If you like cooking and preparing recipes from other parts of the world, it's important to learn to distinguish between these two systems because the recipes use the metric measurements. Although in reality, the cook, like any trade or profession, has its own vocabulary, although even so, it maintains a certain unity in general terms.
