2) Pick out three quotes that speak to why you agree, disagree, or partially agree with the
author's argument.
3) Practice integrating quotes into sentences of your own making,
a) One of the quotes should use an explanatory sentence followed by a colon to
introduce it.
b) One of the quotes should use a signal phrase and comma to introduce it.
c) One of the quotes should embed the sourced material into your own sentence.
4) Make sure you include all parts of the quote as outlined in the text box at the bottom of
the p. 382 of AWR. Don't forget your MLA in-text citation!
