How does descriptive language improve your understanding of the scene in which Paul races the grey?

THIS A OTHER GUYHS answer but here :The description during the horse race improves the scene by making me feel as though I am in the action and experiencing events at the same time Paul is. I can see Paul taking note of what is around him as he and the grey pass one horse at a time. The description of the horse sizzling like lightning makes Paul's win seem really exciting.

also this is a really easy journal entry, you can just think of a skill your good at and write did you work hard to become good at this skill (ex: drawing, writing, math, playing music, etc.) or does it come naturally (like a cool trick that you can do with your body). you can do all of that in 150 words. just try and think of a talent and even if your bad at this talent just say your working hard to become good at it.
