Mary picked up the earring, overcome by a wave of memories. She vividly recalled the day when Samantha bought those earrings. She and Samantha had been traveling overseas in Istanbul, Turkey. At a small shop, a pair of silver and blue earrings had caught Samantha’s eye. The earrings seemed a little too expensive to Mary, but Samantha was determined to have them.
