Thus, he says “The cause of America is in a great measure the cause of all mankind.”

Yes, Paine was able to use valid and sufficient reasons and evidence to support his argument. His way of writing was very clear and it used the common language of the American people. He wanted the people to know that they needed to fight for an egalitarian government. He pointed out his ideas in every section and supported them with reasons on the whys. He did this by using a rhetorical device in order to persuade the people. His ideas were his weapon and he argued by using them.
