What group of people did beowulf belong to? hrothgar?

Beowulf, a young warrior, belongs to Geats (Geatas), a seafaring tribe settled in the south of Sweden. Beowulf is the hero of the Geats, and he comes to help Hrothgar as his mead hall has been brutally attacked by Grendel, a monstrous creature. Beowulf eventually defeats both Grendel and his mother in her underwater lair.

the central idea is basically saying that juveniles that have committed a crime will not have the same consequences as the   adults that have. they will have a softer punishment than what the adults have that is harsh in some ways.
