In the first excerpt, the narrator talks about how he had the desire to learn how to read and write because he saw others who could. The narrator began to learn how to read and write and soon, that was his great pleasure. The narrator's master sent him to a proper school to learn more. In the text, the narrator says, "Since, I have endeavoured to improve my mind in reading, and have sought to get all the intelligence I could, in my situation of life, towards the state of my brethren and countrymen in complexion, and of the miserable situation of those who are barbarously sold into captivity, and unlawfully held in slavery".

In the second excerpt, the narrator talks about how at first his life was unlucky as his family "judged ignorance the best and only security for obedience" and this caused him to learn a little bit of reading and writing and soon his luck turned around, as he was sent to one of the best families in the kingdom, as it says in the text. In the last sentence it says, "My chief pleasure has been books".

no it is not a sin or wrong to be gay. you can be whoever you want just dont hurt anybody or kill anybody. god gave us freewill so we could do whatever we want and be whoever they want to be. all those other people who think gay is bad they are wrong, they can love whoever they want longs they don't hurt or kill each other.

being gay is not a sin or wrong. if you are gay then you have our support and love. cause lets face it, love is love and no bully will ever stop us from being who we are. we are human and we can be different. being different is what makes us humans.
