Commuting is a fundamental part of life for some people. some people spend hours on the road to get from their homes to their jobs. they even wake up as early as 3 a. m. to catch buses or to begin their drives. so why do people choose to waste so much time on the road? for many people, the commutes first begin because of their jobs' locations. people will commute for good-paying jobs even if it means that they will have to travel to another county or farther. this is because many of the homes near their jobs are unaffordable and the jobs pay more than in rural areas. in other cases, working parents do not want to move their children away from good schools even though, sometimes, their jobs are far away. because of this desire to have a good salary, an affordable home, and a fine school, commuters sacrifice time that can add up to over a month of lost time. in what way does the passage use its text structure? a. to show the effect of catching a bus at 3 o'clock in the morning b. to explain why people commute over long distances for their jobs c. to put the chain of events for commuters in sequential order d. to make a comparison between two different types of commuters
