- The line "for so long a space were now become a hell to me; and the change was so rapid, the overthrow so complete" uses a metaphor because the vents that take place aren't literally hell, but they are describing it in a way that makes it feels that way.

In excerpt 1 he resembles and establishes similarities between colors, forms o unanimated and lifeless objects to a living being. Using the "personification" figurative element helping him to explain the aspect of the creature he was describing for the reader to find a point of reference in real life. In this case, the meaning in the paragraph seeks to establish an objective connection between common objects at the hand of the reader, to establish the likeness of a fiction creature.

In excerpt 3 the narrator describes objectively the scene that triggered his emotions and mentions how he discovered to appreciate the objects outside his mind and body. Thanks to the amazing beauty of that moment.
