All of the ecosystems have a food web. The food web includes all of the living organisms in the ecosystem, thus it is comprised of numerous food chains. There is a hierarchy in the food chains though, and basically all organisms can be divided into two groups, producers and consumers, with the consumers further being separated into several types of consumers. The producers and consumers represent the trophic levels, with the producers being the one on the bottom, while the tertiary consumers being on the top of the food chain.
